The CRC held its annual meeting on September 6th at Mercer University. Dr. Yawei Liu and Dr. Hanchao Lu were re-elected as Associate Director and Board Member at Large, respectively. They join the rest of the Board: Penelope Prime continues as the Director, Xiaoliang Li continues as the Secretary, and James Schiffman continues as the Editor of China Currents. The Center is planning a second annual event for 2009, as well as roundtables on timely China related topics. The Center gratefully acknowledges financial sponsorship for 2008 from Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge and Rice, and The Confucius Institute of Atlanta.
