Phillip Wu is the Founder and Managing Partner of NXT Chapter International LLC, an Atlanta-based cross-border advisory firm established in 2024. He assists Chinese and other international enterprises with U.S. market entry, foreign direct investment, and resilient logistics. Phillip is actively engaged with companies in Canada, China, France, Israel, Northern Ireland, and the United States, and collaborates with global consulting firms on international trade and AI-enhanced processes.
Before founding NXT Chapter, Phillip spent over 30 years at United Parcel Service (UPS) in senior leadership roles across Atlanta, Shanghai, and Singapore, overseeing product development, commercial expansion, marketing, pricing, and customer technology. As Head of International Products and Market Development (2020-2024), he launched a new UPS product in more than 30 countries, creating a nine-figure pipeline of opportunities. As Vice President of International Commercial Expansion and Partner Enablement (2013-2020), he expanded UPS services to 32 Chinese cities, drove significant revenue growth in the Emerging Markets unit, and partnered with Saudi Customs and IBM Watson to launch an AI-certified, blockchain-verified brokerage platform. Earlier, he directed APAC market development, led UPS’s 2008 Beijing Olympics sponsorship, and developed co-branded cross-border services with Alibaba and AliExpress.
Phillip is a guest lecturer for Georgia State University’s Doing Business in Emerging Markets EMBA course and a published commentator on global trade, U.S.-China relations, and applied AI. He also serves as a Strategic Advisor (Logistics) to EY-Parthenon, an Advisory Partner for Agentic AI Product Development at Evalueserve, and a Board Advisor to Vocads, a chat-based AI start-up.
Outside his professional career, Phillip served as President of the Atlanta Chapter of the Organization of Chinese Americans, led pro bono consulting for Aurora Day Camp, which provides free summer day camp for children with cancer, and co-founded the Asian Business Resource Group at UPS. His contributions have been recognized with several UPS Horizon Awards, the National Asian Pacific American Corporate Achievement Award, the OCA “Unsung Hero” Award, and the Rice Award for Who’s Who in Asian American Communities.
Phillip holds two degrees from Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business: an M.S. in Decision Sciences and a B.B.A. in Business Administration. He is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese and resides in Atlanta, GA.
