Dr. Butler Cain is chair and professor in the Department of Communications at the University of North Alabama. He is also special assistant to UNA’s Senior Vice Provost for International Affairs. He received a Ph.D. in Communication and Information Sciences with a focus in Media History (’07) from the University of Alabama. Before transitioning into higher education, Dr. Cain spent many years working professionally as a broadcast journalist. He is a member of the Fulbright Specialist Roster and a former expat educator in South Korea.
