Burning Yak Dung: a culture and science clash in Tibet

Are scientists obligated to inform a population to change their culture if science tells them that the cultural practices of that population may be detrimental to their health and well being?

You are invited to our event – Burning Yak Dung, a culture and science clash in Tibet – on Wednesday, March 25, as one of the official Atlanta Science Festival and Tibet Week events this year.

We will have a tent demo (yak dung burning with air quality measurements) at Cox Hall bridge between 10am-5pm and a discussion panel at Math and Science Center E208 6-8pm at the Emory Campus.

This program is free and open to the public.
