Burning Yak Dung: a culture and science clash in Tibet<\/strong><\/p>\n Are scientists obligated to inform a population to change their culture if science tells them that the cultural practices of that population may be detrimental to their health and well being?<\/p>\n You are invited to our event – Burning Yak Dung, a culture and science clash in Tibet – on Wednesday, March 25, as one of the official Atlanta Science Festival and Tibet Week events this year.<\/p>\n We will have a tent demo<\/strong> (yak dung burning with air quality measurements) at Cox Hall bridge between 10am-5pm and a discussion panel<\/strong> at Math and Science Center E208 6-8pm at the Emory Campus.<\/p>\n This program is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
