Xinxin Yang teaches Chinese culture at Emory University. She earned her Ph.D. in Communication from the Media School of Indiana University Bloomington, with a Ph.D. minor in Global Media Industry. Her teaching and research interests include modern and contemporary Chinese media, literature and culture, Chinese diaspora, Asian American studies, International\/intercultural communication. Currently, she is working on a book manuscript based on her dissertation. She has a book chapter, titled \u201cChasing Dreams in the U.S.: Contemporary Chinese Ethnic Media Journalists and Their Roles\u201d, was published by Routledge in 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":5455,"template":"","profile-type":[1032],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
