Dr. Wang holds a Ph.D in Film and Television (2008, UCLA), M.S. in Comparative Media Studies (2002, MIT), M.L. in International Communication (1999, Peking University), and B.A. in English Literature (1996, Peking University).\u00a0 Her research interests include history, memory, subjectivity and spatiality in cinema and media; Chinese-language cinema; documentary; Cold War Asian Cinema; dance film. Her first book,\u00a0<em>Memory, Subjectivity and Independent Chinese Cinema<\/em>, is published by Edinburgh University Press in 2014. Her articles appear in<em>\u00a0Asian Cinema<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Journal of Chinese Cinemas<\/em>,\u00a0<em>positions: asia critique\u00a0<\/em>as well as others.
