Dr. Kaiji Chen is assistant professor in economics at Emory University and research fellow at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. His research areas are macroeconomics, and financial economics. His current research focuses on financial aspects of macroeconomics and government fiscal policies, with a special interest in China\u2019s macroeconomy. Dr. Chen has published in several leading economics journals, including\u00a0American Economic Review<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Journal of Monetary Economics<\/em>. Dr. Chen\u2019s paper \u201cTrends and Cycles in China\u2019 Macroeconomy\u201d has been published in\u00a0NBER Macroeconomics Annual, 2015<\/em>\u00a0as the lead article. His paper on \u201cThe Great Housing Boom of China\u201d has been cited by the\u00a0Wall Street Journal<\/em>.<\/p>\n Dr. Chen obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California in 2005. He joined Emory University in September 2010.\u00a0 His previous affiliations include the School of Economics and Finance at the University of Hong Kong and the Department of Economics at the University of Oslo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":4505,"template":"","profile-type":[1032],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
