The Center Welcomes a New Intern

Michael Cerna is currently a graduate student at Kennesaw State University studying International Policy Management (IPM) as part of a brand new cohort. He received his B.A. from Kennesaw State University in International Affairs with a minor in Latin American Studies. He is currently a research assistant as part of the IPM program focusing on the effects of EU membership aspirations on Turkey’s democratic reform process. Michael was selected to serve as a STARS recipient to the IPM program, assisting a study abroad trip to Brazil. His research is focused on political and international trade relations between China and South America and the effects on US foreign policy. Upon graduation he plans to pursue a career in Latin America with a focus on Sino-American relations.
