The Georgia China Alliance is delighted
to present Mr. Xiangming 'Sherman' Ma, an influential and well-known
urban planner from China, as our first guest speaker of the year. The
event will be co-hosted by the Georgia Institute of Technology College
of Architecture and will be held on Thursday, February 12 @ 6:00PM.
The topic of Mr. Ma's lecture is
called "China's Pearl River Delta: A Mega City-Region in Transition".
As the Chief Planner of Guangdong Urban Planning and Design Institute,
Mr. Ma has had a significant contribution to the rising Pearl River
Delta region located in south China, a once agricultural area.
After 3 years of preparation and discussion, strategies have been introduced
by the PRD Regional Spatial Plan on the hopes of transformation. He
will discuss his experience, key aspects to urban planning, and a wide
variety of other topics. You don't want to miss out!
Please forward this event information
