February 16, 2017. (RSVP requested by Sunday, Feb.12)
In partnership with Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO), we have invited distinguished speakers from government, business, and academic community to discuss Hong Kong’s future and its implications for the entire region. This panel will explore the future prospects of the “One Country, Two Systems”, as Hong Kong moves closer to 2047, the expiry date of the agreement. Clement Leung, the HK Commissioner to the US, will give opening remarks. Our panelists include Henry Yu, Director of the Asian Investors Consortium, Steve Barclay, Director of HKETO, and Shirley Lin, Professor at Chinese University of Hong Kong.
A large number of students, professionals, and scholars from across Georgia will participate in the discussion and the following networking session. We look forward to a meaningful and rigorous discussion with our distinguished speakers.
This is a collaboration between East Asia Collective, The Halle Institute, and Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office. Our kind sponsors are China Research Center, The Carter Center China Program, Atlanta International Education Group, and Hong Kong Association of Atlanta.
